L.E.A.D. IT backs Notts County junior ladies with season-long sponsorship deal

09/09/2022

A leading IT company has given its backing to a girls’ football team as they prepare for the start of a new season.

L.E.A.D. IT Services, which specialises in working with schools and multi-academy trusts including East Midlands-based Embark Federation, Reach2 Academy and L.E.A.D. Academy, will sponsor Notts County FC Girls for the 2022/23 season.

Notts County launched its girls section five years ago and has teams from Under-9s through to the senior Notts County Women’s first team, giving a clear vision of what can be achieved as the young players develop.

The girls’ successes have been recognised across Nottinghamshire with promotions achieved at various age groups in the Young Elizabethan League – one of the biggest grassroots football leagues in the country – and the Notts Girls & Ladies League.

L.E.A.D. IT Services director Lee Jepson said: “Girls and ladies’ football is one of the fastest growing sports in the country and, after England Ladies’ success at the European Championships, there has never been a better time to be involved in women’s football.

“Community is a big thing for us; we like to get involved wherever we can and are absolutely delighted to be one of the sponsors of Notts County FC Girls.”

In the past, L.E.A.D. IT Services have sponsored the England Dodgeball Team and Derby-based Mickleover FC Girls.

They also supported the 2019 Project Zao Schools Football Tournament, which saw junior teams in the East Midlands compete for the ‘Community Engagement Champions Cup’ and was organised by the Derby East Safer Neighbourhood team, in a bid to educate youngsters about knife crime.

They took part in a sponsored walk to raise money for the British Heart Foundation and recently held a fundraiser at their Derby city centre headquarters for Macmillan.
