Derby-based interior fit-out specialist DSP (Interiors) has been shortlisted for a prestigious national industry award, earning recognition for its work on a major office transformation project in the Midlands.
The company has been named as a finalist in the Interior Fit Out category at the 2026 Finishes and Interiors Sector (FIS) Contractors Awards, which celebrate the very best in design, workmanship and innovation across the UK.
The shortlist, revealed by FIS following months of project visits and detailed judging, highlights some of the very best work delivered across the industry. DSP (Interiors) has been recognised for its delivery of the Western International Group (WIG) UK headquarters in Wolverhampton, a standout project demonstrating high levels of design expertise, technical precision and project management.
Acting as both principal designer and principal contractor, DSP (Interiors) delivered a transformative 10,000 sq. ft office fit out, creating a contemporary headquarters that integrates seamlessly with WIG’s adjacent 106,000 sq. ft warehouse facility.
A defining feature of the project is the use of faceted curved glass partitioning, which enhances connectivity between departments while maintaining distinct working zones and ensuring acoustic privacy. The project was completed on time and within budget, underlining DSP’s commitment to quality and collaborative delivery.
The scope of works encompassed all aspects of the fit out, including design and space planning, building control coordination, full project management, installation of glazed and acoustic partitions, high-quality flooring finishes, the creation of agile breakout spaces and a fully fitted kitchen, bespoke joinery and graphics, decoration, and mechanical ventilation.

The FIS Contractors Awards are widely regarded as a benchmark for excellence within the interiors sector, and being shortlisted represents a significant achievement. Winners will be announced at the FIS Awards Lunch on 4 June 2026 at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London, hosted by guest speaker Reverend Richard Coles.
