A Derby secondary school has praised a long-running partnership with an education support provider as “invaluable” in helping to drive school improvement and secure the best outcomes for pupils.
The Bemrose School has been working with Derby-based Derventio Education for 18 months and has used the company’s SchooliP platform as part of its ongoing improvement work.
The education software solution is used by more than 850 schools around the world and is designed to transform teaching, simplify processes and allow leaders to focus on what matters most: improving outcomes for pupils.
As well as supporting improvement planning, the partnership has also created opportunities for students to develop skills for life beyond school. Derventio Education staff have been involved in mock interviews with pupils and have also agreed to welcome students into the business for work experience placements.

The school’s executive head teacher Neil Wilkinson said: “Partnering with Derventio Education has been invaluable in helping The Bemrose School, especially around our ongoing school improvement work and securing the best outcomes for our pupils.
“Their support and expertise have enabled us to focus on the areas that really matter, ensuring our school continues to provide the best possible education for our pupils.”
Both organisations say they are committed to continuing the partnership, with a focus on maintaining improvement and supporting students to thrive at school and beyond.
Stuart Reece, Managing Director of Derventio Education, said: “We are really proud to be working with The Bemrose School. Our partnership is about creating a bespoke system that enables the leadership team to improve teaching quality, simplify school management and centralise data – making it easier to manage internally and demonstrate impact to external bodies such as Ofsted.
“But being able to work directly with pupils has been a real highlight for us. It gives students a practical understanding of the workplace and helps them feel more prepared for their next steps, whether that’s further education, training or employment.”
The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to continuous improvement, strong leadership and preparing young people for life after school, with both The Bemrose School and Derventio Education looking ahead to building on the success of their partnership in the years to come.
