THE director of a leading Derby IT firm is set to pound the pavement for charity as part of the family fun run his company are sponsoring.
Lee Jepson, founder of L.E.A.D. IT Services, is preparing for the Derby 3k Family Fun Run on Sunday, March 24. He will run the race with colleagues Sarah Thompson, Hannah Cooper and Lynsey Ball whilst Emma Wallis will take part in the Derby 10k earlier in the day; the annual race around the city which finishes at Derby County’s Pride Park Stadium.
The event is organised by Derby County Community Trust – the charitable arm of the football club. It is the Trust’s biggest fundraiser of the year and sees thousands of people pull on their running shoes to take to the streets of Derby.
Lee said: “The Derby 10k is a huge event and I’m excited to be taking part in the family fun run this year. It’s great to have so many of my L.E.A.D. IT colleagues running with me, raising money for Derby County Community Trust.
“Community is important to us at L.E.A.D. IT Services, and it is an honour for us to be sponsoring the 3k run this year.”
