Penguin PR launches new service for businesses in the Midlands after success of workshop

03/05/2023

PUBLIC relations and media experts Penguin PR has announced details of a new service aimed at forward-thinking businesses in the Midlands following the success of their recent PR Workshop.

The workshop saw director Simon Burch, along with Penguin PR’s Kerry Ganly and Kirsty Green, give an insight into public relations and media using their extensive knowledge following years in the business at their Derby office.

Topics covered included writing content for publication, the importance of a good photo and video content, and how to make social media work for you.

Among the group of small enterprises were RSPCA Derby, Sunshine Support, Cosy Direct, Sam’s Superheroes and the Nadia Jane Performing Arts, who delivered the Dare to Dream speech at this year’s Marketing Derby annual business event.

Simon said: “We were delighted with the turnout. It was also great to receive some really positive feedback from those who attended, as it makes all our hard work seem worth it.

“Delivering workshops is a great, fun way of engaging others and demonstrating the importance of PR.

“We’d like to see even more businesses getting involved. As well as creating content for traditional and social media, writing award entries and media consultation, we’re keen to hear from anyone who would like us to deliver a workshop at their place of work – or they’re very welcome to visit Penguin HQ.”

Chrissa Wadlow, founder of Derby-based special needs organisation Sunshine Support, said: “The workshop was fantastic and jam-packed with useful tips and tricks. I thoroughly enjoyed it and am grateful for Simon, Kerry and Kirsty’s hard work.”
