Pupils from a Staffordshire special school have thanked a company from West Bromwich after they donated to an educational project.
Steel and Alloy, which is based in Union Street, donated £250 to Queen’s Croft High School’s Year 7 Enterprise project.
Queen’s Croft, in Lichfield, is a secondary special school for pupils aged 11-19 with moderate learning difficulties. It has more than 200 pupils on roll and covers Lichfield, Rugeley, Tamworth, Cannock, Stafford, Walsall and Birmingham.

The aim of the project was to share ideas about how to invest the money donated by Steel and Alloy to show their entrepreneurial skills.
Class teacher Phil Gregory said: “We have been learning about money and finance on our PSHE lessons this term and reached out to Steel and Alloy to see if they could help us.
“We were then delighted to welcome Jack and Vicky from the company to our school to present the cheque. Pupils asked some great questions about the business and showed some great scientific knowledge about steel and zinc.”
Headteacher Clive Lawrence said: “Our school mission and vision is about inspiring GREATness. The R in GREAT is around readiness and a key component to our curriculum is ensuring that our students are ready for future employment.
“Earlier this year, we were commended on our careers work and this project reaffirms the broad and rich offer around supporting the future aspirations and careers of our pupils.
“We would like to say a huge thank you to Steel and Alloy for their support and look forward to working with them again in the future.”
