Schools across Odyssey Collaborative Trust in Derby enjoyed a memorable week as Pudsey, the iconic Children in Need mascot, visited several sites to help raise awareness and celebrate the charity’s national fundraising campaign.
The visits were particularly meaningful as many of the Trust’s schools were also recognising Kindness Week and Anti-Bullying Week, creating a powerful opportunity to reinforce shared values around empathy, respect and inclusion.

Pupils from Oakwood Junior School, Springfield Primary School and Borrow Wood Primary School all welcomed Pudsey with huge smiles, taking part in assemblies, classroom activities and photo opportunities that encouraged thoughtful conversations about supporting others and making positive choices.
Staff across the Trust praised the children for their enthusiasm and the warmth they showed throughout each visit.

Meanwhile at Asterdale Primary School, pupils dressed up in Pudsey clothes and odd socks to mark Anti-Bullying Week and Children in Need.

Throughout the week, children took part in a range of activities focused on kindness, anti-bullying awareness and community support, with Pudsey helping to spotlight the importance of small acts that make a big difference.
Ian Dewes, Chief Executive of the Trust said: “Thank you to all staff, pupils and families for their support and for making the events such a positive experience for everyone involved.”
