LEADING Derby public relations agency Penguin PR is celebrating a series of new clients wins as it looks forward to another year of continued growth and expansion.
Penguin PR, based at Oaklands in Duffield Road, has added three new accounts to its growing client base – education provider Odyssey Collaborative Trust, brand new restaurant chain Umami and technology firm Barron McCann.
The new accounts were attracted to Penguin PR’s proven record in raising profiles through traditional and digital news outlets, across social media and via award submissions, brochures, blogs and newsletters.
The agency, which was nominated for three awards this year, recruited two additional staff members in 2023 bringing its team of PR professionals to seven.
Odyssey Collaborative Trust is a comprised of junior and primary schools across the city, while Umami is a new restaurant brand with the first of five branches opening in Coventry next month.
Family-run firm Barron McCann provides IT services to the retail, hospitality and leisure sectors across the UK and Europe and has more than 40 years’ experience in point of sales technology and maintenance.
Penguin PR director Sarah Newton said: “This year has been one of rapid expansion for Penguin PR and we are delighted to announce that we will be working with three exciting new clients during 2024.
“Although we don’t specialise in any particular sector, preferring to use our journalism skills to bring out the best stories within any organisation, we do work with many schools across the East Midlands so working with the Odyssey Collaborative Trust is a perfect fit.
“Working on the opening campaign of any new business is always exciting and while the COSMO Restaurant chain is one of our oldest clients, Umami is its new sister brand.
“And while Barron McCann is firmly established across the UK and Europe as a leader in its field not enough people know about its groundbreaking work – so that’s something we are keen to address.
“We’ve had a great year and our expanding team is really looking forward to providing the best PR and communications support to both our new and existing clients over the coming months.”
Penguin PR Penguin PR was co-founded by Sarah and Simon Burch in 2010 after 15 years’ experience working in the newspaper industry.
The team is made up of former journalists, with work featured in local and national newspapers, magazines and websites as well as regular television appearances.
