Award-winning Derby business Vibrant Accountancy has teamed up with an innovative app that helps companies to save hundreds of pounds on their bills – at a time when we’re all feeling the pinch.
Vibrant, who are based on Lodge Lane in Derby, have introduced money-saving app Reducer to its clients. The app links with cloud-based accounting software Xero and Quickbooks and analyses client bills, saving them money on utilities such as electricity, gas, water, card payments, telecoms, waste, mobile, fuel and more.
Head of Accountancy Emma Vicars is a big fan of Reducer and is keen to introduce more apps to the business.
“We first heard about Reducer app at the AccountEx exhibition in London, where our co-founder Bev Wakefield was a guest speaker,” said Emma.
“We were both so impressed; it’s simple to use, comes at no extra cost to our clients and could, potentially, save them hundreds of pounds on their outgoings.
“We’re all aware of how much the cost of living is rising at the moment – in particular when it comes to the cost of our electricity at home and also in the business. For businesses and business owners, however, there are no price caps and cooling-off periods available to support them from rising energy prices, unlike in the home.”
Reducer produces reports for clients, showing them where they can make savings.
On average, UK businesses are wasting £7.6 billion on their bills each year and Reducer claims to make savings of up to £1,851 per company, on average.
Emma added: “There are some fantastic apps available that can make life easier for our clients, and we’re keen to introduce more to the business over the next year.
“We like to think of ourselves as forward-thinking at Vibrant Accountancy; we don’t just crunch the numbers – we focus on partnerships and helping others to thrive with our holistic approach.
“Our industry is ever-changing and it’s great to hear of advances in tools and technology – like Reducer – that are shaking it up and helping to improve the sector further.”
