THE co-founder of one of the most forward-thinking accountancy firms in the UK will be sharing her top tips with fellow professionals at one of Europe’s largest annual business event.
Bev Wakefield, of award-winning Vibrant Accountancy, is one of the guest speakers at the Accountex conference which takes place at the ExCeL in London from May 11-12.
The event returns to ‘in-person’ after a two-year hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic and is a chance for professionals in the accountancy and financial profession to come together to talk about how to shape the future of one of the fastest-growing industries.
Bev, who set up Vibrant with business partner Ian Ball in 2019, said: “It is an absolute pleasure to be speaking at Accountex. Our industry is ever-changing and the event is a good opportunity to hear of advances in tools, technology and to share ideas on how to improve the sector further.
“We like to think of ourselves as forward-thinking at Vibrant Accountancy; we don’t just crunch the numbers – we focus on partnerships and helping others to thrive with our holistic approach.
“But there is always room for improvement and I’m looking forward to hearing how others have navigated their business over the past couple of years, the technology and systems that have made life simpler for them, and where they see the future of the industry is heading.”
Vibrant Accountancy were winners of the Accounting Excellence New Firm of the Year 2021 where judges praised their ‘innovative and ambitious’ approach to accounting and, more recently, they moved to a bigger premises in Lodge Lane, Derby, with their team more than doubling in size over the past couple of years.
Bev added: “We may have grown substantially since forming in 2019 but our core values remain the same; to dream big, act big, empower, celebrate and have fun.
“That’s something we take great pride in.”
