The odds on it being a merry Christmas in Derby have just increased after COSMO launched a festive-themed cocktail menu.
Diners to the award-winning city centre restaurant can enjoy a Mince Pie cocktail – a mixture of vodka, cream and fruity mincemeat flavouring – or, if they’d prefer something a little sweeter, then the Candy Cane cocktail – a mix of gin, crème de menthe and vanilla – is just perfect.
Little diners are well catered for, too, with a free Christmas grotto in the restaurant.
COSMO manager Wells Qi said: “Our Christmas menu has proved very popular since it was launched on November 26 and we thought that a cocktail menu with a festive feel would be a perfect accompaniment.
“My team came up with the themed cocktails – three in total – and we didn’t want the little ones to feel left out, hence the reason we set up a festive grotto in our restaurant.
“We know how Derby likes to party and this cocktail menu should get them in the festive spirit.”
COSMO’s Christmas food and cocktail menu will be offered alongside their regular world buffet menu. Each cocktail is priced at £6.25 per glass.
The festive food menu includes turkey and pigs in blanket with a COSMO twist. The menu and cost will differ slightly for the evening but both will include turkey with maple syrup and rosemary, pigs in blankets and Christmas pudding.
It will run from November 26 until December 30 while Santa’s grotto will open during lunch-time only.
The Mayor of Derby, councillor Mike Carr, will officially launch COSMO’s Christmas festivities on Saturday, December 1 from 6.15pm.
