Derby’s oldest nursing home has been named one of the top 20 in the East Midlands with more than a hundred glowing reviews from residents and their families giving a perfect ten out of ten score.
Brookfields Private Nursing Home on Burton Road has been crowned one of the region’s very best by the influential carehome.co.uk site with an official overall rating of ten out of ten.
The only care home in the city of Derby to have made the East Midlands Top 20 list, Brookfields has been awarded the accolade after receiving a year’s worth of glowing reviews provided by residents and their loved ones grateful for exceptional levels of care.
Every year the care home listings site awards top 20 ratings around the UK in recognition of high scores given by reviewers.
Kylie Robinson, from Brookfields, said this was the first time the home had scored a perfect ten and she could not be more delighted.
She said: “We are so happy with our top 20 rating in the East Midlands. It’s great to know that these reviews have all been left by residents and their families – it’s a huge vote of confidence in the care we provide here at Brookfields and the dedication of every member of staff here. No-one is under any obligation to leave us a review so when they do we are very pleased – it speaks volumes of the service we provide that we get so much positive feedback.”
Over 12 months Brookfields has received a grand total of 111 reviews provided by sons, daughters, friends and spouses of residents – and some from residents themselves.
One woman wrote: “I really can’t speak highly enough of everything that is Brookfields – Mum has been a resident for a couple of years now and never ever have I experienced anything other than utmost care and kindness from the staff, both towards the residents and also relatives.”
Another said: “From the moment you enter, you immediately feel the warmth from the team. They are professional but most importantly, for me, is the genuine affection they have for the residents. Lovely, spotless surroundings filled with lots of activities, special organised events all done with a smile. My siblings and I feel that, most importantly, our mum is safe, is made comfortable and cared for by a team of familiar faces. There would be no hesitation in recommending Brookfields to anyone that is going through this process for either themselves or a loved one.”
